The HAA is deeply saddened by the events at the Shoreham Airshow on Saturday 22 August and extends its heartfelt sympathy to all those touched by this tragic accident.
The HAA will not speculate on the causes of this accident. Air accident investigation takes time and we owe it to the casualties and their families to ensure that the investigators are given that time. The HAA will engage fully in the subsequent process of examining what can be done to make historic aircraft display flying even safer, once we have the results of the AAIB’s investigation.
