HAA Members have been invited to the premier of a new play to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the first flight of The Spitfire.

The performances take place around the aircraft at The Museum of Army Flying, Middle Wallop. Friday 4th and Saturday 5th March at 7.30pm ( Doors open 6.00pm )

The Saturday performances will take place on the actual anniversary of the first flight.

The Museum’s café will be open and a bar available.

"The new play by Johnny Carrington tells the story of the man who designed this most famous of aircraft – RJ Mitchell.

"From his humble beginnings as an apprentice in the locomotive works to his job as chief designer of Supermarine, the play dramatises real testimonies from people whose lives were touched by the Spitfire – the Battle of Britain pilots and the men and women who built the machine in which they flew."
