HAA DARROL STINTON MEMORIAL TROPHY
Open for nominations
The DARROL STINTON MEMORIAL TROPHY is an award presented by the HAA for an individual who has made a personal contribution of major significance to the benefit of historic aviation in the UK.
In 2018 it was presented to Guy Black at the HAA Symposium for his efforts in locating, rescuing and resurrecting to flying condition a range of iconic British biplanes and returning to the skies iconic types thought long extinct, most notably the Hawker Nimrods and unique Fury biplane. Guy’s companies are also noted as key suppliers of components making possible the continued operation of historic aircraft such as the Hawker Hurricane.
In 2019 it was presented to Roger “Dodge” Bailey at the HAA Symposium for his many years of contribution to the safe operation of some of the rarest aircraft in the world at the Shuttleworth Collection.
Nominations from the HAA membership for the 2020 Darrol Stinton Memorial Trophy should initially be made to me by e mail (to me) and will then go forward to be considered by the HAA Management Committee.
