FROM: Rick Peacock-Edwards. Chairman, Historic Aircraft Association.
Dear All,
You will no doubt be aware that Gretchen Burrett, the new Group Director of the CAA SRG, is carrying out a Strategic Review of Safety Regulation Group activities and has asked for input from outside organizations; inputs are required by the end of October.
This is a perfect opportunity for the Historic Aircraft Association (HAA), and the warbird community as a whole, to make sure that our voice is heard in a positive way. It is an opportunity not to be missed.
To this end, I will be chairing a meeting at Duxford at 1800 hrs on Thursday 14 October in the Ops Briefing Room within the ATC building to discuss the Strategic Review and what we can or might say; I will then draft a note to Gretchen. All are invited and most welcome to attend, as key players in the debate.
I do intend to publish a basic agenda for the meeting but I do not want to over-restrict or constrain inputs; I want the discussion to be free flowing, forward looking and constructive. I therefore hope you can join us.
Access to Duxford will be via the main gate (not museum entrance), only to those who have registered their names in advance. If you would like to attend, please register by sending an email to Russell Mason at [email protected] before 6pm on Wednesday 13th October, including a contact telephone number in case of any last minute alterations to the schedule.
Best Regards
Rick
