Zara Rutherford is the Belgian-British aviator who is to give a presentation at Duxford on Saturday 23rd April 2022 to attendees of the HAA and BADA AGM’s. Zara has offered at very short notice to join us after our annual meetings are completed and will give her presentation at 13:30 in the Marshall Auditorium.
At age 19, Zara became the youngest female pilot to fly solo around the world and the first person to complete a circumnavigation in a microlight aircraft. Her five-month journey which began in Kortrijk, Belgium, on 18 August 2021, and ended on 20 January 2022 took her around the Globe. Zara will tell her amazing story of adventure and how she accomplished this major feat of flying solo.
