Andrew has had a lifelong fascination with aviation, and first soloed in 1981, with the Air Cadets. Whilst working in photography and aviation journalism, he gained a PPL, and has subsequently flown and had ownership of almost exclusively vintage types, including the Luton Minor, Tiger Moth ( to Switzerland and back, twice !) , and for thirty years a 1946 J-3 Piper Cub.
Aviation art led to him helping in a picture framing studio, and he eventually became owner of the business, which continues to the present day. He has served with the HAA since 2012.
